We have been keeping busy in the Bond household lately and have had a jam packed schedule in April and so far in May, too! At the end of April we got a short and sweet visit from one of my sister in-laws, Miranda! The girls adore their "Aunt Randa" and had a blast spending some quality time with her! The youngest Savy (who is our homebody and tends to lean on the shy side) hadn't seen her Aunt in quite a while and it took her a little bit to warm up to her...but soon they were laughing and blowing bubbles with one another having a grand ole time! The oldest, Emma was enjoying every minute she could soak up with her Aunt and the special attention she got! We love "Aunt Randa" and sure enjoyed her fun visit!
Its hard to believe another year has flown by and our youngest will be turning one next month! Where has the time gone!? Savannah who is fondly known as Savy, is such a joy to be around! She has the sweetest spirit, gives the warmest hugs, has the cutest giggle and brightest smile that lights up our days! She started walking at nine months and has never looked back! She loves to talk, dance, walk, jump, chase her sister, snuggle with her pups, wrestle with DaDa, cuddle with MaMa and dance away to mother goose club! She is our "rainbow" baby (as well as her sister) who both came after losing other precious babies and we are so very blessed to have our sweet spirited girls in our lives! They bring the sunshine to our family and we sure love them to pieces!
We really enjoy DIY projects in our family and you could say I'm a little...okay, okay... maybe A LOT obsessed! An easy and affordable DIY project is a pallet bookshelf which looks adorable and adds a little rustic charm to your home! You can typically find pallets in scrap wood piles, at feed stores, Walmart or from a kind neighbor...either FREE or for a couple bucks! Clean it up and stain it if you'd like, add your books or magazines and BAM you've got yourself a bookshelf!! Works perfect! I also LOVE to find old pieces of furniture from thrifts stores like good will, garage sales or yard sale pages (or trash hoppin) haha and redo them to my taste and liking! Southern vintage is my style and that is typically what I go for! I had found this vintage chair for $20 on a yard sale page a while back for photography, I used some chalk paint and redid that baby and I've gotta say I love the way it turned out! If you haven't tried using chalk paint on furniture and fabric you should definitely give it a go! Its so fun!
The girls and I just got back from a visit to FL and we all three came down with a flu bug that has lasted about 10 days, ugh! So sad when you're little ones are feeling yucky and so sick. Hurts this Momma's heart. Its nice to finally start feeling better! We love our furbabies and missed them & Daddy so much! There truly is...no place like home! My home is wherever my hubby is and it sure is nice to be back! Share a DIY project with me and have a happy May!!
XOXO
